Cancelled order

Hi. I ordered a new phone and had to pay an upfront fee. My order got cancelled. I see now on my bill that that upfront fee has gone towards my next bill, because it is now in credit. Is that how it works? Because I want a refund of my upfront fee, not a credit on my account. Thanks
