Cancelling a direct debit does not cancel your subscriptions/account

 

To cancel you will need to call SKY

 

Cancelling a direct debit whilst still having an active account is extremely unwise, as SKY will not talk to you until it is re-instated and will put you in debt, which SKY may pass on to debt collecters and may affect your credit rating

Sky might not let you cancel if there is no direct debit in place or if you are still in the minimum term of a contract.

I agree with @MightyQuinn seems a strange single comment to post.

 

As well as the advice above if you've already cancelled your subscription then stopping your direct debit this early is likely to affect Skys ability to promptly reimburse your for any overpayment.
