Cancel whist in contract

would this work? I am requesting the immediate cancellation of my Sky Sports package. I have been a customer specifically for men’s football coverage, and the service no longer reflects what I originally signed up for. Sky Sports has fundamentally changed its editorial and punditry approach, and the current output does not meet my expectations as a long standing, paying customer.

This isn’t about promotional statements or policy positions it’s about content quality and relevance. The direction Sky Sports has chosen means the product is no longer aligned with my interests, and I see no reason to continue paying for a service I no longer enjoy or watch.

@Anonymous  If you're in a minimum term/discounted period Sky won't let you cancel as you've agreed to subscribe for the minimum duration at the discounted price.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Unlikely.  But it's Sky you have to ask, not us other customers...

@Anonymous

Your thought process is not grounds for cancellation if Sky don't agree and any cancellation isNOT imme.

To remove part of your TV package you need to contact Sky giving the standard 31 days notice. If you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t cancel another part of a discount.

You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (usually available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling in using the number that should appear.

@Anonymous

As you can't cancel via here you would have to speak to Sky to see if they will allow you to cancel early, as we can say on here if they will do this for you or not.

@Anonymous

They are quite within their rights to do that. Any discount that was applied to your subscription when you took it out was based on you paying the agreed monthly fee for the full 24 months.

@Anonymous  The only way you could cancel is if you can somehow prove you have been materially disadvantaged by the changes ,  I doubt that the quality of presentation and your non enjoyment of it qualifies

When you can end a TV service

14.4. You may end this contract or the affected TV service(s), including during your minimum term (where

applicable), immediately by giving us notice within 21 days of us or SSSL telling you that we are going to:

(a) Change these conditions under condition 13 and you reasonably consider that you would be

materially disadvantaged by this;

If you are minimum term you can't normally cancel till that period is up. If Sky do allow you to cancel they may impose  termination fee which is usualy the total amount you would have  payed to the end of minimum termination period. If you are on monthly rollling contract you can't normally cancel cel by contracting Sky giving them 31 days notice
