Broadband haggling

I am out of contract with Sky broadband . Will they match prices from other suppliers . I can get EE 900 a lot cheaper over 24 months than Sky via Uswitch

The price you're seeing for EE is as a new customer. You're not a new Sky customer.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back.

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.

Re: Broadband haggling

Ive just tried to " haggle" a new price , we were paying £ 45 for 150 broadband was have been offered a price of £40 for the same . We've gone to EE 900 for about £27 . I find it hard to believe that Sky are not intersted in keeping existing customers . I am aware that this may happen again in 24 months so we will change again no problem .

It's almost as if they don't want to sell products at a loss...

@gasman1078 Thats the way the broadband industry essentially is. The cheap new customer deals are typically either offered at a loss or at near break even point in order to attract new customers.
