If this is what you've done Sky will still attempt to take the automatic payment on the usual date and what you've paid manually will go as a credit on your Sky account. This should automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account.

The payment you made has gone on as a credit as you didn't need to make a manual payment as Sky will taken it via your monthly payment method. The credit can be refunded or used to oay next months bill.
