Also to mention I've only just plugged my sky box in it's not been in use so I won't be paying whatever you'd are charging due to wrong day also not being used

@Chloe690
You haven’t contacted Sky by posting here. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to assist other customers.

Have you checked the bill dates? Does it cover longer that the normal month? The first couple of bills are generally higher due to the dates they cover. Check future bills to see if that is the amount you're expecting.

And a couple of extra things:

If it's a stream box then billing commences automatically even if not used - all in the terms you agreed.

Prices are not fixed - they can and will increase in the minimum term.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

I am sorry  this  site of fellow Sky subscribers you are not talking to Sky by posting on here. As mentioned you just check  your bill to see what you actually being charged for and why Sky are taking a payment now. If still unhappy you need to phone Sky customer services and talk to them, I should add you hint that you are going to stop the payment. Unfortunately this not the right thing to go about things as if you do you will cause your self extra problems you service be restricted and Sky will not speak to you till the outstanding payment is made. So you will no be able to sort your problems  till the payment is  made. The best option is speak to Sky and if the payment is wrong Sky credit you for any overpayment.
