Re: Price increase sky stream

I've had Stream for 2 years. I've had little problems and been happy with the service, but this price increase is too much, and with discounts gradually dropping out now which are beginning to hurt, it's bye bye at the end of my contract. I'm waiting for the new Apple TV box to be released and I'm looking at Now longer term. Shame, but Sky Stream simply isn't worth the amount I'm paying.

Re: 2026 Price Hikes

Ok.... so I pay Sky via its ugly duckling child Now TV, but why so many complaints re price hikes and threats to leave?

If anything you/we are getting excellent value for money and should be paying more!

Remember.... if it were not for Sky, the English Premier League would not be the best league in the universe!

Sky reportedly paid some £6.7 billion to secure rights so  we get the best EPL coverage and let's not forget the poor players, whose clubs can ensure they get paid what they deserve.

So less talk of Sky screwing customers over... let's pay up and enjoy wonderful programmes, football, UI and their ground breaking hardware, and think of the children (of the footballers)🫣😜

April price rise

I created a post yesterday highlighting the fact that the sky website is clearly advertising a £3 monthly increase on their tv/broadband bundles, when in fact the increase appears to be£3 per product, so £6. This has happened to me recently,  even though I was actually offered a deal with no increases. The post seems to have disappeared, at least I can't find it anyway. Do posts get deleted?  Cheers.

@Manco68 Posts do occasionally disappear if the spam filter grabs them or they break the community rules, neither of those apply to your post as it was simply moved in to an existing price increase discussion thread https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Account-Billing/2026-Price-Hikes/td-p/5204760

Re: 2026 Price Rise

@DaveDrizen  I was told I was £9 for 2 years when I took cinema in November 2024 but it's gone up by £1 not fussed about extra £1 but the good thing for me with choosing to add cinema in November 2024 is each time I renew now it will be November and I'll always get Black Friday deals so I'm happy

Re: April price rise

Yes I remember some one had said that sky don't bundles of tv and broadband and I produced  a picture from the web site did which showed Skys intention to increase the price by£3in april I think that £3 just refers to the  broadband part of the. deal as all broadband and mobile adverts do that  ofcom regs for those service the other price increases for tv are covered by the wording  "and may change during 24month minimum term". That was last post put on there Iam not sure why they should remove it for that but let put that picture on here and see if this one disappears.IMG_0050.png

I have Q at the moment  but will be ditching that at the end of the minium term. I will  be using now. to as I begrudge paying £42. for channels I never watch, I only watch Sky news and sport, the same applies  for Sky stream you have subscbe to services you never watch at least with now you only need to subscribe to the service you want . I thinks with end of the Satelite service many will ditch Sky and also go elsewhere after unlike Satelite Sky has many competitors with a streaming service.

Re: April price rise

It's in the screenshot  Dave has posted above. It advertises a tv/broadband bundle and a warning of a £3 increase. In my mind this clearly is stating a £3 increase in the bundle not just the broadband. I think people should be aware that the increase is in fact £6. This is not clear at all and in my opinion, is very misleading.

Re: April price rise

Looking at my future bills, the decision has already been made to increase the base tv packages by £3. Those offers should clearly state that they will go up by £6 in April, not the £3 stated. They seem to be getting around with the the second part that states prices may change. It seems to me that the decision to increase the tv prices has already been made, so why not state that and be clear on the offer.

Re: 2026 Price Hikes

Must have been a glitch in system as my prices are normal and are now not showing increases yet from April so check folks

So the details are all in the Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the page. The £3 mentioned in the deal screenshot essentially covers the broadband/talk part of the contract. The reason is likely due to the fact that they have to state clearly the cost of any broadband/phone rises up front in the contract, but they currently aren't forced to do so by OFCOM for the TV subscription, which is why no set figure is included in the deal and the T&Cs just state that the prices may rise over the 24 month period.

Re: 2026 Price Hikes

To be clear sky are currently in hot water with OFCOM, OFCOM state that any supplier must provide details of price rises when the contract is taken. Ie you will be charged an extra £5 each year. Sky are arguing that they don't need to to this, it's a question of law and currently sitting on appeal at the high court
