Re: 2026 Price Hikes
After 50+ years, my time of watching F1 has ended. Sky can't simply keep asking me for money which is way above my rise in income. I resigned myself to watching free highlights, and other sources. Missed it at first but can do without it. Sad that the pony tails in ther expensive corner offices have deprived me of my only sport, but c'est la vie... Been a Sky subscriber since 1992, and feel I've got nothing whatsoever in return for loyalty.
I'm on HD which I know they want to kick me off in favour of an inferior streaming service. They don't understand that for many, streaming is a fragile platfom, and pretty useless. They should know as they also supply my broadband LOL

Re: 2026 Price Hikes
@StephenSky I would suggest you try a 1 month subscription for Sports and either Boost or Ultra Boost via Now TV.
The month can be viewed as either a trial/ waste of money/ confirmation of your position/ or a pleasant surprise. If it is the latter, you might just end Sky subscriptions for Now as I did because of price. Now does not have all the features but at £31 I don't miss them.
I am not an F1 fan (like my son) but I must admit the picture quality of the races are fantastic in 4K UHD and often end up watching on that basis alone.
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £31 pm (till October 2026)
Freesat 4K recorder
1000/1000 FTTP (Digi) £15 pm
3 x Asus XT9s + + RT-AC58U V3 for WiFi (AP mode)
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
C430 Samsung soundbar & subwoofer
6 other streaming TVs

That made me smile! As someone brought up wtching Z Cars on a 14" B&W TV with a coat hanger for an aeriel, picture quality has never interested me. Much much inrterested in content. It's all a bit of a von, much like an EV car LOL

Re: 2026 Price Hikes
Well, despite me having it in writing (on chat) that they are cancelling the termination charge I gave just received an email to say they are in fact charging me. Great way to ensure I never become a customer again, great job 🙄

Re: 2026 Price Hikes
Well, I complained and now have the ETC creditted back to my Sky account. Presumably it will get refunded to my bank account in due course.
The initial response to the complaint was to deny I'd given notice correctly with the 30 days. Fortunately I had a screenshot of the chat from early March.
So, I'm kinda satisfied in the end but have the feeling this was not an innocent mistake by Sky!
