I wouldn't normally quote my own post, but someone might benefit from it. I was able to change my Netflix Premium from £14.49 a month to Standard with Ads at £0.00 a month without it affecting my contracted discounts. So the £14.49 a month saving offsets the £9 increase across Stream and Broadband.

I had a new Now Broadband (Superfast) deal which started in November 2025 at £23pm, I can see in my future bills that's been cranked up by a inflation busting 13% at £26pm from April 2026.

Since signing up to Now Broadband, FTTP broadband is now available, and so I'm looking to use this as an opportunity to switch to another broadband provider for a similar price but 10x the speed.

With the 30-day cancellation window, do you think I should try negotiating with Sky, I haven't had much luck recently or switch once I receive the notification of price increase?

I cancelled  Sky cinema on Sky Q as I did not watch many films any way  and if I do see some I would like to. see why pay £13  when with now tv the price is only £9.99 and you can cancel ny time.  Fair enough if you are getting a discount it may be worth while staying with Sky stream but if you are the full price of at the moment £16  you might save your money and change to now tv after all they are both streaming services and both offer their Sky cinema service of the same films. The live channel exactly the same service and I think the on demand content is priberly the same. I think the only difference is is with now tv you don't get access to Sky store which extra expence any way. May be I am missing somthing why pay the higher price?

 I live in small   Village in Essex  about 40 miles away from the nearest VUE  cinema  was    I to take up that offer it would cost me over £40 in train fair for me and my wife to get there,  hardly free deal for me,. specaly when I can see exactly the same film at my local non vue cinema in the local town for £11.99 each and the free bus ride there and back as we are both pensioners  you see,  and have free bus passes concessiony rates  at the cinema.. I yes I forgot there is one other thing  with having stream you get Paramount plus chucked in as well,  but bearing the extra cost of the service stream you technically pay for that as well as the cost of subscribing to Parimount plus with ads as a stand alone subscription ( that what you get with Sky cinema) is only £4.99 a month

Further to my coments above I just looked at the price of tickets at  the nearest vue cinema to me are only £4. 99 each  (booking on line)  any way therefore the total  value of Sky offer is only £9.98 a month. To me bearing in mind   the extra cost of sky cinema on sky stream,  is it really  free tickets over the cheaper price for same service on now.tv?

In addition to the VUE cinema tickets, the basic tier of Paramount+ is also included ( which i believe has a cost of £4.99/month). In reality the extras offered as part of sky cinema will have different perceived value to customers depending on whether or not they want free VUE tickets or Paramount + added at no extra cost. ( for example some people won't live anywhere near a VUE cinema so the value of that extra will be a lot less).

As I put in my post above that my case S I live over 40 miles from a view cinama sonnevercliklyvtobhave used them also as the price of view cinama tickets are from £4:99 the value of the sky offer is only. £9.98 any way. You mention  Paramount plus ,  I notice from 2027 they will showing live sport as the won the rights  for UEFA football. I wounder if subscribe will be expecting to get that with there present subscription I.e free with ads if you have Sky Cinema . My feeling is you won't I expect there to be a extra charge for sport on the same lines as discovery plus do  will subscribers pay yet another £20 or£30 to another channel to get all there footbal. I fear not  I think  people think the price of everything  prohibitive  and will choose which channel give the most value or the type of matches they are most interested in. I know prime video put there UEFA football in with there basic subscription but they only show one match a week and that not every week not the amount Paramount plus are planning to show.

Value and usefulness of included "perks" vary wildly. 

I watched The Handmaid at the local Vue last night with my February Sky Cinema tickets and I think that  was the first time My Wife (who read the books), and I have ever used them.

Apart from the Taylor Sheridan led stuff on Paramount+, I don't think I have I watched anything else?

Hi all, I was sold a broadband/tv package on Monday and was informed it was a fixed rate deal and there would be no price rises during the contract. I have no taken this package out and lo and behold, on my future  billing there is a £3 price increase on the broadband and a £3 increase on the Ultimate TV package. I feel that I was missold the package. Out of interest, as I bought the package as a broadband/tv bundle, shouldn't the increase have been £3 not £6. This is what it clearly states on the bundles on the website. Nowhere does it say a £6 increase if you take a package. I think this is wrong, can anyone advise if the increase should be £3 or £6 please. Cheers in advance.
