In all honesty Sports subscriptions are obscene across the board.  The bubble will burst at some point.

Its funny I've been thinking the sports right bubble was going to burst a few years ago and it's just grown to even more absurd levels

@MarkGoldsmith I pay £30.99 direct from Discovery+ and cancel it for June and July when there's no football. It might increase in April, but I can see no advantage at all in getting in through Sky.

I suspect it will increase in price on Discovery+/HBO Max to a similar price at some point in 2026 anyway.

I'm sure it will. But you can install their app and log in on as many devices as you want including other people's houses. You can only stream on two at the same time but I still think it's the better option.

Well you can do the same when subscribing through TNT Sports via Sky, as you get the access also via Discovery +, so there isn't really a difference between how you subscribe beit through TNT Sports via Sky or directly on Discovery+

If you're saying you can install their app anywhere and log in with your Sky account I'll take your word for it. You didn't even used to be able to watch it on another TV in your own house unless you had multiroom/whole home.

6.85% total increase in my case. Well above inflation!

Yes its 2 different things. To watch the TNT Sports TV channels you would need multiroom/whole home. However a TNT Sports subscription comes with a Discovery + Sports package, which means you can log in to Discovery + on any device to watch the content.

Yeah, thats the problem with the way the price increases are done, as a percentage on the list price of each service. I kind of wish they would move to a % on your total bill, at least that way people with decent discounts don't see a much higher actual percentage increase than others.

Aprill 2026 price increases

Just looked. at predicted  bill for April and all of the price increases  for SkyQ are on there. Signature goes up £2 to £42.50 Ultimate tv pack goes up£1 to £4.50. Sky Sports goes up £2 to £36  & TNT sports goes up £3 to £34 . These are the full price without any discounts, if you get a discount the that amount reduction still applies. I don't know what the new Sky s Cinema price as I don't subscribe to that any more. Be interested to see if  the now tv prices also increase by the same amount, as when my minimum term finishes at the end of the year I will be cancelling Sky and going there, I be grudge paying £42 .50. for channels I never watch.

Re: 2026 Price Hikes

On mine Sky Ultimate has increased by £2, Sky Sports by £3 and Netflix Premium by £1.

At the end of my current contract I will have the option of binning Netflix Premium £14.49 a month and just settling for the Basic with Ads version that's free with Sky Ultimate. I'm tempted to ask if I can do it anyway. I only watch documentaries anyway so AD free and UHD don't really matter.

Re: Aprill 2026 price increases

May be some could tell me how much Sky cinama is going up did have it on my package till this month. No canceled as that was  monthly rollling contract did not watch watch many films on there  was paying  £13  a month  if I want to watch it again can do it on now  £9.99 at present may be that will go up, but the beauty of you cancel any time no need to give any notice. Did get a email after I canceled with Sky offing me a year at £7 a month but was tied to £2 year contract and asI planing to cancel Sky altogether t the end of yer I was not take that up. But I wondered if I taken up would I actually get price for the two years or would that price be increased with annual price as well. If that being the case it would not £7 for long it that then increased in April as well

I think i read somewhere Cinema is increasing by £1, which would have taken your £7/month offer up to £8/month, as the discount applied to your offer is a static discount.
