I have no landline and the internet BB has been in and out all day recived a text from sky to say there were issues and were fixing it but its been over 7 hours .

Thanks but that is no help when you live in a mobile dead zone and your landline is not working , i work in IT and find it very hard to accept they cant provide updated info on any major or issue affecting customer araes , shocking

Sky are reliant on Openreach providing updates to them, that they can pass on to customers. These are generally scant, along the lines of first 'we know there's a fault and we're working on it' and then 'it's fixed'.
