Hello, I am a sky TV/Broadband & Talk customer.
My understanding is that when my sky area goes to VOIP my phone will need to be plugged directly into my sky router. However my router doesn't have any sockets other than Ethernet so will sky need to provide me with a different router in due time?
Again my assumption is that the router will need additional capability to convert my phone to VOIP?
Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe Q Hub (110/115) has no socket or circuitry to host an analogue phone handset in its current form, so Sky issues their Broadband Hub (203/204) to properties provisioned on SOGEA (broadband with no PSTN service). It's unclear if they intend to eventually replace millions of Q Hubs entirely, or will perhaps supply an external Analogue Telephone Adapter to work over ethernet with such hardware.

Hi Highlinder and TimmyBgood,
Many thanks for the response to you both.
To answer Highlinder's question - its a sky Q hub and TimmyBgood has told me that this hub cannot accept a direct phone input so will need to be replaced by either a Broadband Hub (203/204) or possibly some newer alternative.
Many thanks to both - I believe this answers the question for me.
Best Regards
