My own box was buggered, (red flashing light and wouldn't turn on), got another one from a friend

wont connected. shows the following: 

 

'Connection to broadband router...............................FAIL

Connection to on Demand..............................................FAIL

IP Addressof this box..........................................................0.0.0.0

DHCP................................................................................................ON'

 

tried pressing red reset button but nothing happens. tried reboot, even reset to factory settings, nothing. any help?

Hey! No I never got anywhere with it, no one seemed to get what I meant and couldn't help me, I just ended up picking up another box. Sorry I can't be more help... x

Re: Sky+ Box Unable to enter Network password.

I select Settings--Select Network, on selecting my Network I'm requested to input my network password, on pressing Select the password box displays for a couple of seconds leaving me no time to enter my password, then a message displays saying incorrect password entered. I've tried numerous times with the same result even after pressing the reset. I have no problem connecting my Smart TV.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I get my boxes connected to my BT Smart Hub 2 by using static IP addresses with the boxes connected via Ethernet

Check that Smart Setup is turned off in your router settings.

My SKY+HD box has lost its connection to the new SKY router. I use a mini SD501 to make the box wi-fi enabled. There is no WPS button on the new SKY Hub and inputting password does not work. I suspect SD501 has stopped working again (3rd time). Can't get these new anymore so am looking for alternative. Any ideas? Thanks

You can use a bog standard Wi-Fi Access point connected to your Sky box with a short piece of Ethernet, this will then connect wirelessly to your router

All current Sky Hubs have a WPS button. It's on the front for a Sky Q Hub, and on the side for a,Sky Broadband Hub.

@Mark39 thanks for your reply, but my SKY hub SR203 does not have a WPS button. It is a flat box about 10" wide by 8" high and 1/2" deep.

@Annie+UK thanks for your reply. Could you point me in the right direction of a bog standard WiFi access point, as I'm struggling to find something other than the mini SD501. Thanks
