How do you remove the message banner from the bottom of all BBC programmes

How do you remove the message banner from the bottom of all BBC programmes, I can’t watch anything properly as a third of the picture is missing! 
it's on everything I've recorded off BBC1

You can't remove it from a recording, I'm afraid.

AFAIK its part of the transmission from the BBC, do you get the banner on the HD versions of the channels?

Thank you, I've just realised it's on recordings that are SD, I've changed them to HD hopefully that will resolve it.

Please can Sky remove the warning message about HD on BBC one SD. Or change it so it is broadcasted for 30 seconds at the start of the programme. It doesn't need to stay for the whole show and takes up half the screen.
I have to record in SD due to disc space and it's making every recording unwatchable. And then I have to wait until available on catch up to download (in SD).

No, they can't, it is nothing to do with Sky, it is the BBC showing that message on BBC1 SD, Sky have no control of transmissions from other broadcasters.

BBC SD will be closing completely early next year so you might as well get used to recording in HD now, as it will be the only option soon.

You will have to find another way to save disk space as the SD versions will not be an option for much longer

If you delete and down load it the message seems to disappear

I'm.getting this message on e ery recording of Masterchef the Professionals on ch101 which iwcBBC1 HD on my box (Sky Q). I've had to delete all thevrecirdings

The message  only appears on the standard definition channels.

@jas666  You can't be as the BBC don't show it on the HD channels only BBC 1 SD, have you checked in the 800s on the EPG to see if the correct HD version is there instead of 101?

I added Masterchef to record on HD but it seems yo.have fecided thatvI dimont need the hd versuin and wadms reciding the SD version!
