I live in flats with a communal aerial and it isn't compatible with sky q because it's not upgraded. I currently have a sky+ box and I'm aware I will lose more channels in 2024, is there any work around this issue? as the council is making it impossible to upgrade to sky Q!
I thought about the hd boxes but sky doesn't offer them anymore.

Ok, if I get a second hand one, will I save my current channels and will I receive hd channels?

It is mainly SD channels that are closing.

You would receive the free to air HD channels, which are the one's needed to replace the SD channels that are closing.

Obviously you won't get services which leave the satellite platforms entirely, or those launching as online-only.
The Sky platform without a satellite dish is Glass/Stream, but that doesn't duplicate the satellite channel lineup.

You will lose access to all your recordings on the Sky+ SD box so watch any unwatched recordings before you start using the Sky+ HD box😉
