Unfortunately Sky were of no help, they advised that Sky email was a free service for UK customers only. They stated that YAHOO managed the email now and that for me in South Africa they considered SA IP addresses
were deemed as a threat.
In the absence of emails I used gmail where I had an account and went through the painful process of amending my main email address. I needed to do this as I would have 9 weeks without access to sky.
I am planning to have a VPN prior to my return to SA.

If that is true, why on this help page do they give the impression that if you tell them the I.P. address you are using they can sort it out?

....if you can find an adviser who knows how to deal with it, I suspect.

Having spent time with Sky technical team I am advised that providing your IP address will not necessarily work for all countries. They will do Uk, Germany, Ireland and Italy.
However where Sky/Yahoo see a countries IP address as a threat ie South Africa they will not unblock that IP range.
With the daily changes in security they recommend using a VPN

I have been having these similar issues. I am in New Zealand, it started with the web browser I would say 3/4 months ago. Now it's started on my Outlook 365.
I have just switched VPN to UK and solved no issues. USA is fine, Australia is a problem as well.
I have been thinking of getting my own domain, and email with it and have it go through my outlook 365. I just need to figure out how to do it all, my concern is i would want to keep my historical emails and move it from yahoo to that service.
