Hi Everyone,
Recently got FTTP installed today and would like if possible to use my Netgear RAX70 instead of Sky Max Hub previously used before using sky router as a modem and bridged to the Netgear router.
Does anyone have the required setting to get a Netgear router to work did try but it stated no data connection.
Thanks

Find out more@Ritchie0607 there are two options the first is to connect the Netgear rax70 to the ONT whiich should be possible if your unit supports DHCPv4 Option 61 which Inbelievecit does. You will need to entercan authentication string in the form anything@skydsl|anything the content beyond the @skydsl followed by the pipe symbol does not matter. You can also try DHCPv6 PD which does not require the string which doesnt always work. There maybe other parameters onnthe router you need to set.
Alternatively you can attach the Netgear to the Sky hub by running an ethernet cable from a LAN oort on the hub to the WAN port on the Netgear creating a Double NAT connection which works for most purposes but can confuse private VPNs also port forwarding gets complicated. This set up keeps the voice line through the Sky hub which the first option cannot support.
in either case you are paying Sky for Wifi Max servicecyou dont need either set up will work with the standard SR203 Sky hub..
