Broadband Speed fluctuates

I've had Sky (fibre) for about 5 months now. It's fttp and I have a Sky hub (and sky WiFi booster). I also have aly Q and two mini boxes.

The speed of my broadband seems to fluctuate quite a lot. It's nearly slower in the evenings I think.

 Can anyone see anything?

@Petruchio  What have you got connected via the ethernet ports on the router. Seeing 282 collision packets on it.

Re: Broadband Speed fluctuates

I have one ethernet cable from my router which goes to an ethernet switch  which has my main sky Q, my av amp and  my smart TV connected to it

@Petruchio

It is quite normal for your broadband to slow down in the evenings because thats when everyone in your house is likely to be using it as well as neighbouring WiFi routers. The air becomes congested with WiFi radio signals and everything has to slow down.

Is the speed still fine via ethernet connection?

Re: Broadband Speed fluctuates

It fluctuates all day. Working from home, I often lose WiFi connection on my laptop in the day, and the sky Q mini boxes lose connection. The evenings are even worse.

I've changed the cat 5e cable between router and  fttp openreach modem to see if that helps. I've also removed the ethernet splitter to help cut down on the "packet collisions". I'll see if any of that makes a difference.

@Petruchio

If you have packet collisions then that'll likely cause Sky Q connectivity issues and in turn bring your WiFi down
