World Matchplay Darts - Day 1 missing.
Hi all,
I know Sky can be slow to make stuff available for download but I have been busy and unable to set recordings knowing that I can download the darts after it's been on, however it's 3 days now since the opening session and it still isn't available to download.
Both day 2 sessions are available from Sunday, but Saturdays isn't. It's already bad enough that Sky only gives 1 week from day of airing to watch the Darts, so to have the first session available for the first 3 of those days is really poor. The darts is pretty much the only reason I even bother with Sky Sports these days, so I wish they'd sort themselves out as this isn't good enough.

I emailed yesterday but it said it can take up to 3 working days to respond... by that time there will be barely any time to sort it and be able to watch day 1 anyway, so I figured I'd call this morning and speak to an actual person having called the viewer relations team. What a painful experience it was.
I explained what the issue was, very clearly, that being that the World Matchplay Darts is currently ongoing, and that whilst both Day 2 sessions and Day 3 session have been made available, the day 1 session from Saturday hasn't been. The chap goes away for a couple of minutes and comes back telling me to turn my tv off and on again... so I explain again and he disappears another couple of minutes and comes back to say that it's because I'm on Sky+ so because I'm on an older system some things aren't able to record and some channels are missing... **bleep** does he think the problem is? I'm just trying to make you aware that a program from Saturday has not yet been made available to download. That's nothing to do with me being on Sky+, it's not going to be fixed by turning my tv off and on again.
This was an Indian gentleman I spoke to, which is often the case, but that often means the person I'm speaking to doesn't actually understand the problem. Outsourcing is fine, but if they are using people who can't understand basic issues then it's a big customer service problem. I've spoken to agents with Indian accents before who have understood my issue fine, but most of the time they seem to struggle with basic things and it's not helpful at all, and just frustrates the user even more.
I love my darts but if I'm not able to watch an episode that should be available to download then I'll just give up and cancel in December when my contract is next up for renewal. I've already had an issue recently where they just decided to randomly take discounts off my package with 6 months left even though the contract price agreed was for the duration of the contract as you would expect. Got that sorted eventually by saying they'd credit my account with the amount that has been taken off for the next 6 months in one lump sum from my next bill and that to check, but that was 2 weeks ago and it isn't showing as applied yet so I'm probably going to have to call again to say that hasn't been honoured.
Anyway, rant over, getting a bit fed up of Sky's poor customer service.

Sky won't do anything. They don't care. Just look at the sorting of the event that is currently underway: some are sorted as 'Series 1'. Some are sorted as 'Other'. It's THE SAME EVENT.
