There's lots of SD content on some channels upscaled before transmission, but that's different: on satellite this is upscaled on reception because that saves in transit costs. It's all a bit moot anyway because legacy content always requires upscaling somewhere to fill better than SD screens so 'native' HD material will always look better.

There are definitely SD only channels on Glass. Anyone who has tried it will be able to verify that, I was particularly disapointed that channels including Eden, Animal Planet and TCM that used to be HD on Sky, and still are on Virgin Media, are only SD via Glass.
