@Ellietv  What has it to do with broadband?

@Ellietv

Post moved from broadband board into the post you also have on this one.

Is this on Sky Q following the outage on Thursday night?

Hi,

Thank You.

Even this morning , I can't access it.

Ive rebooted the box. Turned everything off at the wall.

Re: Unable to access sky tv

I'm not technically minded.
I don't know what you mean by me mentioning  broadband.

I was just trying to explain my problem.

The tv will not turn on using the sky remote control. I have changed the batteries.

Turned everything off at the wall as I said.

I am doing what I have done for years to access Sky channels, but nothing is working.

  @GD1  What a rude answer. Did you not see that the OP is a Level 1 user, this may well be their first visit to this forum, & that's how they get treated? You need to rethink how you answer posts on here.

Re: Unable to access sky tv

  @Ellietv If it is a Sky Q box you're having issues with, then I'm not sure why any of the other people on here have not directed you to the huge thread elsewhere on this forum about the outage that occurred on Thursday night, which stopped Sky Q boxes from working. Although Sky is saying the issue has been fixed, it clearly hasn't, as you can tell from the thread in the Sky Q section on this forum. The fix from Sky is to do a reboot of your Sky Q box, but it sounds like you have already tried that. For some, the fix has worked, but for others it hasn't. I'm not sure what Sky is doing about the issue for those it hasn't worked for.

  Are you able to use a different remote to at least turn the TV on? When you turned off at the wall, did you wait 30 - 60 seconds before turning on again?

  Sorry I can't help much further, but the issue is with Sky & they need to complete the fix.

@Mr+Ripley

The OP started two threads, one on the broadband board and has subsequently been moved into a duplicate thread they'd started on this board until such time as the OP tells us all which platform they're on so a perfectly reasonable question at the time.

Re: Unable to access sky tv

  @Daniel0210 You may think it's a reasonable question, but I'm talking about the manner in which it was written. It sounded rude, especially to a newcomer to the forum. Also, that question didn't even need to be asked. The post could simply have been moved by GD1. Also, I would suggest it has been moved to the wrong section, and that it should be in the Sky Q section, possibly merged into the huge thread I mentioned. I know the OP hasn't stated which device they have, but it does sound very much like the issue Sky Q owners have been experiencing since Thursday night.

@Mr+Ripley

If and when the OP tells us, the thread can be moved into the appropriate board.
