Just watching Monday's 'the football show' can't believe that none of the three presenters are wearing poppy.
Thought Sky were better than that !

I'd suggest any employer making such a display mandatory would be on very thin ice.

Agree, it's personal preference rather than mandatory
another example is the f1 on screen presentation team over the last two weeks, some have chosen to others have not

This is not a Sky issue as wearing a poppy is not mandatory and it's a personal choice for the presenters themselves if they wish to wear one, though there is a subtle pressure from major broadcasters to wear one.
I did not watch the show, but were all the presenters British? If not, this could be a reason why they decided not to wear a poppy as wearing a poppy is generally a British thing.

There's a certain footballer who refuses to wear a shirt with a poppy on it. Like we've said, it's a personal choice. I choose to wear one but not necessarily on outer clothing and it doesn't go on until 1st November.

Indeed, the stylised red 'remembrance' poppy emblem in the UK actually being the fundraising symbol for (and in some contexts the trademark property of) the Royal British Legion which declares its charitable aim to "safeguard the welfare, interests and memory of those who are serving or who have served in the Armed Forces."
The approximate equivalent over the Channel is the Bleuet de France (Cornflower) which is under direct government control through the ONACVG (national bureau of former service people and victims of war)
