The Good Neighbour

What started out to be good film started to disappear with the lack of subtitles when spoken in another language. Don't know if this is deliberate or been not uploaded with the film. Just for the record I'm watching this on Sky Glass and downloaded the film.

Depending on perspective, sometimes no subtitles can be deliberate. In which, if told from perspective of one character and thd character doesn't understand the language, it keeps the viewer as unaware as the main character to what is being said.

Have not seen the movie in question so I don't know.

Sky cinema. The Good Neighbour

Spoiler
I have just watched The Good Neighbour. There was an important discussion at the end but it was in a foreign language with no subtitles. This was very bad because a crucial part of the story was revealed - was the girl alive and therefore the innocent man could be vindicated? I'm assuming she was as the villain drowned himself in the final scene.

Spoiler
Totally agree, this was appalling - you probably found as I did that the crucial discussion at the end by the police woman and the neighbour in a foreign language, left you wondering what finally happened. Unbelievably I have learnt that if you had turned on subtitles the translation would be in the foreign language, so what use is that? I feel sorry for the actors because who is going to want to watch this film now?

@Jay+Jay  It's not good to give major spoilers to any movie or TV show. Please request your post be deleted.
