TNT Sports - European Football
From 2027 TNT Sports have lost the rights to it's Premium football content.
Champions League will be exclusively on Paramount+. BBC retains highlights rights.
Europa League and Europa Conference League will be exclusively on Sky Sports.

Re: TNT Sports - European Football
The amount Paramount have paid is just absurd. I bet by the time the coverage starts their subscription cost will be about £40-£50/month.

Re: TNT Sports - European Football
At the price, paramount paid it isn't surprising that tnt sports didn't match it
Though bad that they lost possibly their biggest marquee rights.
What other rights have tnt sports lost recently?

WWE to Netflix though thats always contentious as a sport
NBA to Sky
MLB at least in part to Sky from next season
Rumours that Paramount will go for UFC from mid 2026 and given taken US and other regions its a big possibility.
Sure there are others too.
But all could be irrelevant if Paramount buy Warner which comes with TNT.

A quick search also shows Queensberry boxing rights to DAZN
And part of their Rugby Union offering to Premier Sport even after TNT bid more. That ones strange.

It is crazy how much Paramount have paid but don't they indirectly own TNT sports so could still end up on the channel

No - Warner Brothers Discovery own TNT Sports, although WDB are currently up for sale.
Paramount Skydance, Netflix and Comcast have apparently all submitted first round bids for WBD ( the first round of bidding concluded yesterday). If Paramount Skydance were successful with buying WBD then they would own the TNT Sports channel in the UK but who knows what they would choose to do with it.

Fairly sure UFC in the UK will move to Paramount as I believe they have a clause in the US rights deal that gives them first refusal on bidding for the rights in other territories as they become available ( exactly like what happened in Australia).

Re: TNT Sports - European Football
Got to say having just watched the highlights of Day 1 of the Ashes cricket, I hope TNT lose these rights soon.
What is probably the biggest game in the sport, to have a non cricket commentator is shocking.
How do those in charge think a cycling commentator works at all.
