Sky. Sports HD

Did you know with SkyQ  Sky charge you a extra £6 a month to watch Sky sports in HD that is on top of the  £9  a month to have HD on your other channels. Not sure why there is a extra charge with Q. as if you had now tv you pay just  £6 boost that covers all the channels you have whether it entrainment, moves  or sport. And sky stream HD is standard no extra charge for any thing in HD, mind you in stream there is no sad channels any way.

The Sky Sports channels come in HD by default so sometimes do the way the billing is done you might see a charge but if you do the package price should be discounted by the same amount.

Re: Sky. Sports HD

According to my  bill " sky sports complete £34 in contract discount £5 until December 2026. "Sky sports HD" £6 Discounted £4 until April 2026. Which means after that till my minium term ends I will be paying £6 for HD on sport with only £5  discount on the sports package which means I will be paying  £1 more per month for my Sky sports package to watch in HD, and after  December 2026 will be paying charge of £6 to watch sports in HD with no discount if I decided to carry on with Sky  Q at that time. I also understood from Sky the £5 discount on the sports package was for taking out the complete sports package not to compinsate for the HD charge.  I suggest you look in your bill via my  Sky and see if you have iteam marked "Sky sports HD"

The full list price of Sky Sports is £40 per month. Some customers bills show this split as £34 for Sky Sports Complete and £6 for HD. Sky have never explained why, though personally I think it's so that the full £40 figure doesn't show on the bill (ie a bill made up of smaller numbers looks cheaper on the eye). Equally, any discount can come off either part. Personally I have an £11 discount on Sky Sports Complete and £6 discount on HD.

As mentioned above, it's irrelevant as you can't have Sports not in HD.

Re: Sky. Sports HD

I am cancelling Sky Q Contract any way at the end of my minium term. Most of my viewing these days is on Netflix,  prime video  Disney+ or prime video. The only channel us watch these day s on Sky is Sky news. My wife watches the football on Sky sports and TNT sports. Just before  Christmas I bought a cheap first stick which gives me all the stuff I watch and considerably cheaper than the Sky package  for my wife football we can use the now tv app which will give me Sky sports for £34 a month and with just the boost for extra rooms and HD for £6  will be cheaper than pay Sky  for £40 and we can watch TNT sports on the discovery+ app at the same cost of paying  Skysfor the service. The benefit of now tv you cancel any time with no minimum term and not having to give any notice, just cancel before the next payment is due. Meaning when football season is finished and there is no sport I want to watch cancel till  beginning of the season. The way things are going SkyQ will becoming to a end. In a few years any way and Sky  will become just another streaming service. From what I hear lot of people are haveing problems with Sky stream and I don't think it worth the risk. Also haveing  to pay £34 for a puck that doesn't even belong to you is rather a expense I can do with out I have already get one fire stick which I got for £20  and I could get another one for the other tv my wife uses  for a least the same price as paying the charge for a puck and it mine.

Your Sky Q hardware doesn't belong to you either.
