Sky Never Miss

Why did Sky stop the Never Miss service?  Its so frustrating missing programmes because there is no way of seeing when they are on, or back after a mid season break.

An official reason was never given: my personal guess is there was an issue with making sure the automated emails didn't continue after Sky subscription ceased, which could constitute a pretty serious breach of electronic marketing regulations.

The alternative option is the Geektown website whereby you can receive emails 7-10 days before a new series starts. As to why Sky stopped it, you'd have to ask them. There may be other threads on that subject but I can't remember Sky ever formally announcing the reason.
