5 linear channels closing due - I am guessing the UK will follow suit at some point.

It's hard to believe that many people sit down and watch a movie on 'live tv' anymore.

Cinema channels are much more obvious candidates for culling because in any given week they carry multiple repeats of exactly the same content which could just as easily be served on-demand (and who starts watching a film part-way through anyway?)

The names of the channels being closed to me are also suggestive of some confusion about their actual purpose.
