What a brilliant catch!! Thank you. We have just finished watching all 1st 4 seasons of this wonderful show and were very distressed not to be able to get series 5.
Roll on September and big pat on the back for ITVX, and a big thumbs down for Sky in not keeping the license to air this show...

The license is from Warner Bros Discovery they ultimately own it , I expect to be on ITVX until early 2026 if The Middle is anything to go by that was added to ITVX this month.

Apparently DVD and Blu-ray sales are seeing a bit of an uptick, driven by people realising that streaming platforms have the habit of removing content from their platforms so it's a good way to make sure favourite films and shows can be watched whenever.

I too have a top of the range 'Sony' VHS in roof space, and a Sony DVD on my TV set up though not connected. I tried to remember the last time I watched a DVD, must be at least a decade, and much much longer for a VHS.
I also have an original Rega Planar 2 for LP playing bought in the 1970s. I actually love 'old tech', and spent 12 years of my career selling 'music' in a bygone Megastore. I love the revival of vinyl,, BlueRay etc. Streaming is just such a throwaway method of watching TV... Hard to beat opening the seal of a new VHS and reading all the sleeve notes that came with it, and don't get me started on a 'double album' with full lyrics LOL

I've never stopped using my DVD player and it's so cheap to pick up bargain discs these days and often cheaper that paying to view online. I still have my record deck from the 70's and large collection of vinyl dating back to when I got them, many of them in the 60's. I find it odd that some people don't even buy CD's these day's. Each to their own.
