Poor programmes

Is it me, or is the variety and quality of programmes, hit an all time low, just seems to be getting worse and worse. As for ITV, on Christmas Day, the most miserable, penny pinching, collection of garbage I have seen ever.

Here ends my rant.

Re: Poor programmes

Advertising revenue is down for all the commercial channels so they're not making as many new programmes. Viewing figures are down too as more & more people watch streaming apps instead. YouTube overtook ITV in the popularity stakes earlier this year in terms of overall viewing numbers.
TV in the UK is very different now to how it was a few years ago.

Quite simply put viewing habits are changing so the number of people watching the the content broadcast on the likes of BBC 1 or ITV over the festive period just isn't what it was which would make it harder for those broadcasters to justify spending as much money as they likely used to to fill the festive schedules.

It was bound to happen what with all the streaming services available and all the festive content available at the touch of a button.

Re: Poor programmes

@nolte  Tv is background noise as too much else goes on in the house on Christmas Day but it's nice to watch
