Re: Peacock via Sky Content!
@SDR does "all platforms" mean the content will also be available on Sky Glass? Posts in previous threads have suggested otherwise that Glass will not get the content until early 2022.

I think that still stands: unfortunately Sky is big enough for senior execs to forget bits of it exist ; (

You can watch the Chicago shows in their entirety across Netflix and Sky.

Re: Peacock via Sky Content!
No you can't, not ALL seasons are available to stream as part of a subscription.
The only current way around it is to pay for the "missing" seasons not on Netflix/Prime/Sky box sets.

Re: Peacock via Sky Content!
I wonder why don't list Law and Order Organized Crime under Peacock , it's on the US version.
So is Resident Alien aswell.
I understand it's a Soft launch but even so , I am assuming The Sinner will come at some point aswell.
I wonder if shows like Chucky will be listed under Peacock after they have finished airing on the channel.

At the moment I think you can describe the launch as Peacock Lite.

This is where Comcast need to ultimately decide what their ultimate aim is.
For all intents and purposes, Peacock is a mixture of Now and NBCU catch-up (US) but in the UK, a lot of the content is already on Sky, we already have Now and all of the reality programming is on Hayu. Then there's the Universal movie catalogue - that's difficult because we have Sky Cinema so they can't make Peacock too attractive in that regard.
Peacock (UK) is just lingering in the middle of all the above, with no real selling point. I do wonder what the overall aim. It could well be a decent enough app but unless some very big decisions are taken regarding existing Sky services, I can't really see the UK version being anything other than just existing.
I'm looking forward to seeing the full rollout to see exactly where this thing is going. At the moment it's another case of Sky's marketing being much better than the actual product.

Re: Peacock via Sky Content!
I think the issue is whether Peacock stays within the confines of Sky and Now's platforms - or whether NBCU want to take this out as a standalone option as well... I imagine that dictates what happens.
If Peacock is to remain a hub within Sky then fine - work on making it a distinctive content destination and ensure that it's there to support the overall Sky experience in terms of library, the movie offer and ensuring there are regular originals.
If they want to retail standalone outside of the Sky platform as well? Then that's where they have to make decisions - you have a situation where you're retailing three different platforms (Sky/Now, Hayu and Peacock) and have content that potentially appears on all three! I imagine one of those services (Hayu most likely) would have to give at some point and again, if everything Peacock is on Now as a D2C offer, how is standalone Peacock an enticing proposition when for a few quid more you can get the suite of Sky channels and on demand content? At least Hayu as a reality service is distinctive to what Sky currently offers.
I can imagine there will be some sort of rationalisation expected at some point but with the likes of Disney Plus bulking up as a generalist service I imagine Comcast will need to make those decisions fast.
Still in search of a great signature! I’ll get there one day!

Re: Peacock via Sky Content!
As a complete stab in the dark my guess is that Sky are future proofing for the departing Showtime content and then HBO Max will no doubt launch in the UK when the contract expires. So my guess is that over time Peacock will effectively replace "NOW" as all the content will be added onto Peacock even Sky branded content.
