New to Sky today and No sky tv getting message ‘Check Device power

Internet working but can't get any tv from sky box.  Remote control does nothing and message on Samsung smart tv is Check Device Power.

That message is being prodicted by your Samsung TV and not your Sky Q (if that was has been installed) box ?

As above.

That message is coming from your Samsung TV.

 

Check that your Sky box (Sky Q or Sky Stream? is on and that the hdmi cable from the Sky box is connected correctly to your Samsung TV.

 

You may also have to use your Samsung TV remote to change the hdmi source using the Samsung TV remote source button. On a Samsung TV that is normally top right and says Source.
