New lg 5our78006lk tv

Hi, I have just got a lg 5our78006lk tv.  At the moment using the magic remote, I switch the tv on then have to go onto where you select hmdi 1.  The sky box is on then the normal sky screen etc comes up.

Is there a way that I can switch the tv on and press the sky button on the sky remote for the sky screen to come up without having to keep selecting hmdi 1 first.

I am a white haired brain frazzled going mad and no clue.  Thanks in advance for any help.

There should be a setting somewhere on your LG TV that allows you to go to either HDMI 1 or the last viewed channel which would be the HDMI one.

Turn on HDMI control in your Sky box Settings

Turn on SIMPLINK(HDMI-CEC) on your LG TV, go to Connection then Device Settings

I have no idea how to do this.

I will select hmd1 for the sky menu to come on.

I will either need to do a video call with my daughter or wait till she travels up next year hopefully.

Hold down the cog button on you LG remote and the setting options should appear on the left of the screen
