Probably, but nothing's been confirmed. It doesn't start on HBO Max until April 27th but there's no guarantee Sky will show it around the same time. They're yet to start showing season 2 of Perry Mason which started on HBO Max a couple of weeks ago. (And is very good so far!)

Interesting! Do Sky no longer have exclusivity over HBO Max content now? Did they ever have exclusivity?

Re: Love and Death HBO

The output deal doesn't cover 'HBO Max Originals' there available for anyone to acquire

Warner Bros Discovery are set remove the HBO name from HBO Max, Doesn't really describe the service well especially Once Discovery+ content is added

You mentioned Perry Mason that isn't  a HBO MaX Original.

They've never had a fixed output deal for Warner distributed HBO Max programming - they seemingly only opted to license select titles hence the likes of Gossip Girl going to elsewhere.

They apparently went as far as saying "the HBO name turns off many potential subscribers".  This is partly a US 'culture war' thing: a substantial chunk of the population there genuinely believes HBO has been contributing to the moral decline of the nation ever since it made 'Deadwood' nearly 20 years ago, while seeing Discovery as the home of wholesome family entertainment based on trucks, guns and serial killers.

There already family entertainment, Superman & Lois is on HBO Max in the US for example , it premieres on HBO Max in other countries where available.

Certainly, but HBO has a decades-long history of airing content with far too many rude words and gratuitous naughty bits for about 30% of the potential US audience, and that's now a real problem for 'family-friendly' Warner Bros.

@Timelord2018

Thanks for that. I've subscribed to HBO Max direct for a while now and hadn't even noticed the different 'MAX Original' and 'HBO Original' branding above some of the programme titles!
