Why is it so hard to find out when the August and September live schedules are being announced? I've read it's today, but can see anything yet. Looking to book a hotel and tickets for a match. Anyone know?

I believe finally confirmation for each fixture is determined 5 weeks prior with that changing to 4 weeks later in the season ( this is just PL guidance but as is sometimes the case Kick off times are changed closer to the initial date than that).

So far only the opening weekend fixtures have been confirmed in terms of kick off times, as the full August TV picks haven't been published yet.

@Ian1869  This is only an estimated date as specified in the premier article below 

neither the premier league or broadcasters guarantee an exact announcement date as their are two many variables which can lead to delays police authorisation being one

What a faff for people trying to arrange things a few weeks in advance.

@Ian1869 It's complicated further by the number of English clubs that are playing in Europe, especially those playing qualifying rounds as they don't yet know which days of the week they will be playing European matches on.

There are an unprecedented NINE clubs in European action this season – six in the UEFA Champions League, two in the Europa League and one in the Conference League – and there will be many Premier League weekends which have UEFA matches in midweek either side of them.

Plus, there is also policing considerations to take into account. With 7 teams in London,,  that can be a logistic issue to make sure adequateforce is available

And with UEFA still undecided about palace playing in Europe that will also need to be taken into consideration

Up to the end of August have been announced (yesterday) the September picks for TV were also meant to be announced yesterday ie 9th July however they clearly have not - very frustrating!!!

Absolutely, but people going to games don't matter!
