Last Week Tonight being pushed later and later

What is with Sky Comedy and the scheduling of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. It used to be on 9pm/10pm every monday night when it was broadcast the night before in the US.

Now it's showing at 1.30am on Tuesday morning? 

You're showing Bill Maher's (removed) show and re-runs of other shows before a NEW episode of LWT? I mean - do you really want me to just find someone on youtube that has the new episode?

This feels like an excuse to say that the ratings are down and we're dropping the show - and the ratings are down because you're showing it in a graveyard slot.

Can someone please explain?

Generally when a programme is moved to a late night slot it's because the ratings are already down and below the acceptable level for a prime time slot.

Perhaps also worth noting that's an HBO product, and Sky-HBO relations are currently undergoing some serious renegotiation.

Firstly, i like you am dissapointed with the moving of last week tonight in the timeslot.

But it would have to do with ratings and aswell aligning the first broadcast to the broadcast of it on sky showcase.

They do keep the now second broadcast on a Tuesday night at a good time atleast.
