Indy practise

Why is sky sports f1 showing football instead of Indy practice. I pay for for this channel because of the racing not football. There's enough of it everywhere else.

Realistically if sufficiently high profile matches are taking place simultaneously then they are likely to bump a niche event with a correspondingly small potential audience off the EPG: historically Sky Sports (and Sky itself) exists because of its link with football.

This has been discussed on here earlier in the season but I can't find the thread at the moment.

edit: found it. See the post marked as the answer

Re: Indy practise

Thanks but I don't pay to watch football

it's a motorsports channel not football. Some of use motor sports fans want to watch the live major motorsport events that's what I pay for there's enough football channels on sky.

All the remaining Premier League games are being televised live so next Sunday all the last games of the season kick off at 4pm. There's likely to be other channels used again then.

It's a Sky Sports channel, so it's their editorial choice.

@Loseinit

So next Sunday afternoon F1 channel has been left alone. The last PL games will be on Main Event, PL, F'ball, Tennis, and Action with the remaining games apparently on Sky Sports+.

That makes sense as next weekend is an F1 weekend.

And the 110th Indianapolis 500, which is presumably what the OP was referring to.

Which, as it clashes with the Canadian Grand Prix this year, isn't being fully broadcast on the F1 channel, its on Sky Sports Mix. The F1 channel is only going to broadcast coverage in-between all the various support races from Canada that Sky also broadcasts.
