On what device?  If it isn't a Glass television, this probably isn't a query for a Sky forum.

Re: HDMI 1 AND FIRESTICK

Didn't realise it was an exclusive sky glass club, sky is sky Is it not?

Never mind I'll go to someone with a sensible answer.

But a FireStick is an Amazon product and nothing to do with Sky, you might get better help on a furum that deals with Amazon products as there will be more people there with experience of using a FireStick

No current Sky product other than the Glass TV receives HDMI input (the original Sky Q box had such a port but it was never activated, and the Sky Soundbox hasn't been sold for several years)

This makes it a guessing game about which television you are referring to, and that's not likely to be very productive.

If the problem exists between a non-Sky TV and an non-Sky streaming stick, other forums would seem more appropriate.  However, if removing the Sky Q box causes the Firestick to work then the issue is likely to be related to HDMI-CEC, and again knowing the make/model of the television would be useful.

Some people think that when they connect a Sky box to a TV, everything becomes 'Sky'... 🙂

@Frankie+17  firesticks can be a bit dodgy when plugged direct into the HDMI slots of some TVs. You can buy these short HDMI extenders so your not plugging the stick direct into TV but via a short HDMI cable.

Just a thought for your issue

hi @Frankie+17

Unfortunately, as we do not know your set up and your TV it is not fully clear what is connected to what and what your problem is .

We know you will have written it knowing what you mean but we have to second guess - so might assume things.

So it would really help if you confirm which input the SKY Q box is connected to and which connection your Firestick is connected and what is actually happening / you are seeing  - please spell it out for us so we don;t assume anything.

Only when we know can we really give advice that might help
