Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Forinfostuff1 Sky and ITV both invested in the channel back in 2016, when broadcasters became increasingly interested in the potential of eSports. But the future is online:

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Forinfostuff1 in the 2021 financial statements published by the company, they talked about repositioning the company as a "digital first" company and talked about making cuts in their operating costs to try to make the company profitable.
At that stage negative net assets of £478k snd accumulated losses of £10million.

Satellite data transit has a significant cost paid to the owners of the satellite infrastructure (not Sky)
Given Sky is an investor in Ginx, it makes sense for them to maintain availability on Glass/Stream while Ginx reduces operating cost by ending satellite broadcast.
