Re: Disney plus and Espn
Espn is not available with disney plus in uk and/or ireland.
There may be some espn documentaries on it, but no live sports.
The rights for events may be held by various different broadcasters in uk and ireland
@PatrickJ123 what sport event are you wanting to watch?

Re: Disney plus and Espn
The ESPN tile has not been added to Disney+ in the UK yet. From what I remember it went live on American Disney+ last year. And then earlier this year I think it was Australia and New Zealand Disney+. But it has not been added to the UK Disney+ yet. As you can see Disney are doing this on a piecemeal geographic basis. There is no date for the UK yet.

Re: Disney plus and Espn
Also worth noting that Disney + don't currently have any sporting broadcast rights in the UK.
They have secured their first rights for the UK market with the Women's Champions League from next season however nothing publicly has been announced as to whether that will just be branded as Disney + or ESPN on the service for the UK market. As it's disneys first sporting content in the market I'd imagine, to avoid confusion, they would use the Disney + branding for it

It should be noted espn has broadcast their own linear channel in austrailia since the 1990s so had already been in the sports rights market there.
In the uk, espn sold their linear channel to BT sports in the 2010s, then licensed the name for a time to bt sports.
