@Southfox

Not much cricket played in England this time of year, and overseas Test broadcast rights belong to the host nation to sell to the bidder of their choice rather than being included in the Sky deals with either ECB or ICC.

TNT/Discovery+ has exclusive coverage of the current white ball series in India and much more, purchasing these from the Indian rights owners.

TNT Sports is the new official broadcast home of England men’s tours of India in 2025 and 2028.

TNT Sports has also agreed a deal to show exclusive live coverage of every red-ball and white-ball international series played in India for the next five years.

TNT Sports will broadcast England’s Test tour of New Zealand in late 2024, as well as their white ball tour (3 x ODIs and 5 x T20s) of India in January-February 2025.

Re: Cricket

Absolutely sick.of it. A dedicated cricket channel showing zero England cricket this winter. When I've complained they say it's not possible to show all cricket matches (funny how they don't apply that logic to the Premier league where they snap up all allowed packages) and helpfully they ignore the fact they used to be the home of all cricket. Like you, my hard earned cash is for a subscription to watch the cricket. Sky are failing me.

Actually Sky haven't got all the premier league packages as TNT Sports also have the rights to 52 live games throughout the new season.

Re: Cricket

Yes that's why I said all rhe packages they are allowed to as they are not allowed to have a total monopoly.

To be honest for most of the bigger sports like football and cricket no broadcaster would likely be able to afford the rights to have a true monopoly on the coverage.

Before there were global streamers who can afford to outbid them....

Sky is a legacy regional broadcaster to six (soon to be three) European countries, and as I noted above, the rights to overseas tours are sold by the cricket authorities in the host country.
