Connection to Hotbird

Does anyone know if I can connect a Polish tv box to Hotbird?

As you may have gathered Hotbird  is at a different postion to Astra 2 Satellites as used by SKY so the dish is not pointing correctly.

 

Also AFAIK the wideband LNB used for SKY Q (where you initially posted) would not work correctly with a Polish TV box which is likely to need a 'Universal' LNB

Presumably, yes, but the dish would have to be pointed at 13E rather than 28.2E (and be equipped with the appropriate LNB for the box as noted above)

 

You probably couldn't legitimately have a subscription to a Polish television service at an address in the UK but free to air reception is fair game.
