As per @stubie  post confirmation here https://rxtvinfo.com/2023/nbc-news-now-given-sky-satellite-reprieve/

That was a surprise for me, since I don't watch that channel that much, plus part of Sky News' late morning output is also shown there (just like when Sky Sports News used to simulcasted one of the hour news cast on NBCSN, until that US sports channel closed), probably as its more US news centric.

Unfortunately running a News channel is typically loss-making even with advertising.

It's not really that. It's the process of covering the supplementing of  US based  advertising that we are not allowed to see. It's supplemented by their own channel/programme  promotion in an OTT continual state. Making it just unwatchable or repeatedly tedious.

Of course it's a filler, we know it's just overlay for the US advertising in their home country on the original broadcast.

To be fair the channel on YouTube and many other devices the channel is available on, have the same, viewed from our country and expect many other countries too.

You need to watch it to be drained by the annoyance and flow of the above. When it's actual News it is a really good watch.
