Can't get in to Sky

I get a message "Check Device Power" under the Sky  logo - instead  of the usual access to all programmes etc.

The options underneath are: Power on; connection guide; source, the remote signal doesn't activate any of these.

That's a tv message,  not a Sky box error. Try putting both ypur tv and Sky box in standby, the turning on your tv with the tv remote, before your Sky box.
