Repeat after repeat on sky now. 🙄 2 channels showing same programme at same time. Disabled/Housebound so I watch a lot of TV. Do not have the cash for Disney so that is out. I love sci fi but again it is mostly OLD and even OLDER stuff. 😞 Most were good in their time but when u have seen these programmes so many time over and over I could voice sync every character and episode with my eyes shut! 👎Sky is on a par with the (removed) repeats that Terrestial channels keep dishing out. 👎

IMHO the shows on Sky this this year have been a bit lackluster. I think the production chain has been hampered by Covid shutdowns and I expect things will start to improve slowly. Gangs of London 2 is on the way so 👍 for that at least. Welcome to Derry on the way to Sky scifi as well at some stage.

Realistically that would be because the streaming services can afford to fund new science fiction productions when broadcast channels cannot, and their global reach makes up for the relatively small audience in any particular country.

@sammyeurokait's the summer. That's when we get a lot of repeats. New shows/new seasons usially start in the fall/winter.

If you're going to be that pedantic, it's actually Autumn.

Pretty much what I said in another thread about repeats. Summer TV schedules have been fairly dire for as long as I can remember, & that's quite a lot of Summers.

Back before DVR and cable TV, the summer was when we got to watch what we were unable to watch when it was aired. So the summer was not so boring for broadcast TV. These days, there's more then enough to watch all year round.

I was a victim of this awful teaching method http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1523708.stm and still suffer from it to this day every now and then

"2 channels showing same programme at same time."
I'm assuming you're talking about Sky Showcase. Sky Showcase is a showcase channel that simulcasts or shows content from
As I'm writing this on 26 August 2022 at 14:00, currently Sky Showcase is showcasing and simulcasting Sky Max.
~~
I'm also assuming you're referring to live TV, meaning content broadcasting now in the EPG guide. If the content on live TV is "boring as fart" as the heading says, you can watch catch-up and on-demand content from:
And streaming content from:
All the above is either available with the basic pack, i.e. Sky Signature (Sky Q)/Sky Ultimate TV (Sky Glass) subscriptions or is free-to-air, so there is no additional cost to you to watch the above. Some services like All4, ITV Hub/ITVX and Spotify have optional premium versions.
You don't need to watch live TV to find something to watch.
