Apple TV not working on Sky Q

Apple TV isn't working on our SkyQ getting a message that says Could not connect to Apple TV . Called Sky yesterday  13 December- they said it is an issue between Sky and Apple on certain Sky Q boxes. Couldn't give a timeframe to resolve.Anyone else with the same issue. It's fine on our other devices and all other Apps on Sky are fine too.Thanks

APPLE TV app won't connect on Sky Stream

When I try and open the Apple App on my Sky Streaming Puck it says "Could not connect to Apple TV. Check your internet connection and try again".  

 

Others on here are having this issue I see, but the other post was marked as "ANSWERED" even thought the problem has not been resolved by Sky / Apple. Screenshot 2025-12-14 at 09.06.13.png

I am having the same problem on my Sky Glass TV. The App works fine on my other smart tv?

Apple TV

Apple TV gives an error. My only option is to exit the App. Tried to refresh all apps and have rebooted multiple times. No Joy. Issue occurring since two days ago now.

Just been on the phone to Sky and unfortunately they're still working on the problem. However, they've given me a £20 refund on my bill, so worth raising a complaint with them if yours has been out of action for a couple of days, like mine.

You can mirror your phone screen onto your tv using 'Smart View' or similar.....so you can still watch the F1 movie today via your phone....

I'll be doing exactly that as I intend to watch F1 movie today as well.

I have same issue as others. Apple TV weon't connect on Sky Q box but works on my computer etc.  Third day of outage.

A couple of thoughts:

is it related to new Apple free first episode scheme with Prime?

Is it related to Apple dropping AppleTV+ name and it now showing just as AppleTV

It was working fine as just Apple TV until Friday. Not connected since. It is definitely a Sky issue as zApple TV work fine everywhere else.
