Adverts on Sky

Leaving Sky after 20 years because of adverts! Netflix, Prime and Disney are better!  Sky will collapse like Blockbuster because of an unsustainable business model!

And all 3 of these also now have adverts of which you have to pay more not to view them...

Of course that's always possible: satellite television started in the last century before high speed internet access was conceived of.  Whether linear broadcasting itself has a long term future is currently uncertain.

Those are global businesses: Sky is a small regional platform.  At the moment Netflix struggles to make money, while both Amazon and the Disney Corporation can  afford to lose a dollar or two on streaming and make this up elsewhere.  What realistic sustainable pricing is remains to be seen.
