Upgrade from Basic to Standard (£3 extra a month) and Premium (£6 extra a month) is now available if it works for you.

Unfortuinately my Sky Q box is giving an error (MYSKY_2302) and there's no other way to upgrade than through the box - even support cant do it.  I've been told this is a software error that will have to wait for the next firmware update.

Worked for me too in the My Sky section of my Stream puck. Finally no ads so I can get back to watching South Park and Nobland with no interuptions!  😁

Re: Adverts on Paramount +

This is good news.

Is a lot of the content HDR? My TV is only 1080p/SDR but my iPad can do HDR.

@turbohat71

The internet suggests the Paramount+ app only does HDR with a Premium subscription.

Indeed.

I'm trying to decide between the top two tiers. Wondering how much HDR content there actually is.

Yes upgrade your plan: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-app-subscription-plan

Paramount+ is a 3rd party app and they decided to introduce tiers. You get basic free and need to upgrade to remove ads.
