Only some content is available.

They could've just used the main app, and just blocked the premium content.Thats not practical, as it would likely have required HAYU to make that content free for everyone on the app, whereas the idea is that its a little taster of the content that will be available on the app that all Sky subscribers will get access to once its launches in July.
Not necessarily. Channel 4 can put a geo block on live channels on the Channel 4 app (on Sky) for Ireland and the RTÉ Player can block some sport shows for Northern Ireland, I'm sure Hayu could whitelist the shows part of "a taste of Hayu", and block the rest and have an "upgrade your subscription" message.
If it's a database with all the shows, it's just adding another column, and saying in the code say that if it doesn't specifically say "whitelist", "free", etc., then it's wouldn't be available.
I'm just saying because it clearly doesn't work for all devices on Sky, as some Sky Q boxes still haven't got it (me included). I just think it would be more universal and would avoid the hassle of not being in Catch up TV and On Demand section as the Hayu app is there already.
I think it should have been put into Catch-up and On Demand on Sky+HD and older boxes only as (I think) they don't have apps. One difference though is Hayu is a global streaming app, Channel 4 is essentially a regional app seeing how it's operated/owned by a UK broadcaster.
Also Hayu is by design a subscription app, whereas whilst Channel 4 does have a small subscription component, it's essentially a free service.
My point is that with an app on Sky, with examples of RTÉ Player and Channel 4, is that there is ways to block content depending on subscription or location. This could have been done with the Hayu app too. It's not about what they offer, etc..
Again except it is. Hayu being a global app isn't going to waste development time to put on the free content just for a small market like the UK and Ireland.
You can't compare the geo-blocking that the likes of RTE and C4 put in place, as those apps are designed to only have all their content viewable in the countries they operate in.

Think you can't view the Real Housewives until July . A taste of Hayu is just showing a few programs not the whole lot.

As it's just "a taste of..." and you're 3 months away from launch, perhaps they add and remove random content daily?

According to the press release, the Taste of Hayu is meant to be one season from a handful of their shows, as a teaser for the content that will be accessible once the app is available to all from July.

It was just strange that one day I could see the tile & a few days later it's gone, maybe that's what's meant to happen .

Im Sky Q. The only way I can find it is to do a search for one of the specific shows listed on a previous post ( and then it's specific episodes as well ) . I'm using the search on the Sky remote as when I try speaking via the blue voice control it can never understand my Brummie accent 😂
