I can access the  5STAR Chanel without any problems, but am unable to download some programs from it, it keeps saying I don't have the right subscription for it. 
any ideas?

Some On Demand content requires a HD subscription

For some content on other channels when using Sky Q there is/was a way to select SD rather than HD when downloading if you didn't have the HD add on.

I say is/was because I have not had Sky Q for about 4 years and use Sky Stream now where you don't need the HD add on and HD is standard.
