Technical Difficulties on sky website

Hi, I'm trying to place on order, and I've tried several browser but when I go to build my package and put my details after booking the date to come in and install I keep getting Something went wrong, we are having technical difficulties etc.

This has been happening for over a day,, and is incredibly frustrating as I'm simply trying to place an order.

It seems to work fine till I sign in, I've tried multiple accounts.

Please can you help?

I'd guess it's an issue related to your account somehow. Give Sky a call and they'll sort it out for you.

Re: Technical Difficulties on sky website

I agree with Mark here.  Mine's been doing it ever since I last upgraded over the phone to their latest Superfast package.  I know I can get faster but they just refuse to let me have more than 40Mbps.  I can see our cabinet from our front window so it isn't a distance issue, its an account issue that they can't see.  Am thinking of packing it ALL in and starting again from scratch under a new account name.  Been with them for over 25 years!  You'd think they'd bend over backwards to get me what I want.

Hi @TazzaJMB, in your case, I think the issue is different. From other posts on the same subject, we know thay if your Guaranteed Minimum Speed is something less than 40Mbps you're put on the lower tier of Superfast and you get 40/10, even if your line is actually capable of more. Only if your Guaranteed Minimum Speed is above 40Mbps do ypu get the 80/20 tier.

Re: Technical Difficulties on sky website

Iive been trying to upgrade my broadband but it's being saying this for months now. Sky obviously don't want my money, so I'm going elsewhere.

Try using your browsers incognito mode or even a different one, you could also try using the MySky app.

Re: Technical Difficulties on sky website

Thanks Mark39

However I think it is their LLU configuration at the exchange.  I am now with Vodafone and I get the full 80mbps sync rate as expected.  Sky still could not guarantee to get me that which is why I left them.

Re: Technical Difficulties on sky website

This issue with the "Technical Difficulties" has been going on for a few years now.  Everytime I reported it the advisor said they were totally unaware.

One of the following is true:

1) Sky are unaware their website sucks

2) Sky have turned it off so you need to call them

3) Sky dont care about their website

4) Sky know its broke but dont know how to fix it.

Re: Technical Difficulties on sky website

I've been trying to upgrade my broadband since December and keep getting this message. I've tried calling but just sit on the phone for an hour or so on hold before I give up.
